Whimsical Pictures LLC Owner - IAN ADEMA

I am an award-winning independent filmmaker based in Los Angeles, CA. I grew up in Lawrence, KS, attended college for a B.A. in the south suburbs of Chicago, lived in Hawaii for 3 years while serving in the U.S. Army, and completed a 2 year program for acting at Lee Strasberg and an M.F.A. in Screenwriting at New York Film Academy.

I've done everything from directing, producing, and screenwriting to editing, acting and other crew work, primarily on ultra low budgets. I'm an award winning Writer, Director, and Actor who's made multiple short films and one feature.

I've been fortunate to build a team of talented creatives for my projects who continue to prove how important the collaborative process is in order to create the best project. I find that collaboration is one of my favorite parts of the work and seeing how much other minds contribute to bringing new depths to a story.
